HEADLINE: 404Error Finds His Game When It Matters Most

Well now, that's more like it. After watching 404Error stumble around like a man looking for his car keys for most of the season, didn't he just go and remind us all why he's been sitting pretty atop the Premier Division standings. A -16 in the second round to seize control of this PGA Championship β€” that's the kind of golf that separates the wheat from the chaff when the pressure's on.

Mind you, he wasn't leading after Thursday. That honor belonged to Suicydal_Bot, who fired a blistering -15 to grab everyone's attention. Ah here, where did that come from? The lad's been decent enough this season, but -15 in a major? You'd have thought he'd stolen someone else's clubs. Course, what goes up and all that β€” his third round +4 brought him back down to earth with a thump. Still managed T8 in the end, which isn't poor stuff by any means, but you could see that collapse coming from Enniscorthy.

Skyline_time513 and Rundownman did what they always do β€” grind out consistent scores without any dramatics. Both lads finished within shouting distance of the winner, which is exactly what you'd expect from players of their caliber. No flash, no nonsense, just proper golf when it counts. Rundownman in particular has been a model of consistency all season, and that T3 finish keeps him breathing down 404Error's neck in the standings.

The surprise package was imtrippin and iluvJEEZUS both salvaging disappointing weeks with final round -14s. That's the mark of players who refuse to mail it in, even when things aren't going their way. Austin from Division 1 nearly gate-crashed the party entirely, finishing T6 and showing the Premier lads that there's quality lurking in the lower divisions.

What struck me most was the cut line β€” 37 players made it through, which tells you the quality was there right down the field. No passengers this week.

The standings barely shifted after all that drama, which shows you just how tight this season race has become. 404Error extends his lead slightly, but Rundownman is still lurking with intent.
